Winter storage and distilled water?

Winter storage and distilled water?
I need some advice from some of the track day guys.I did my first few track days this year and I still have the distilled water in. The bike will be stored in a nice warm, dryand toasty garage kept at around 60 (but I'm out there a lot so often it's warmed up to t-shirt temp) for about 3.5 months. Is it ok to store it with the distilled water in it? Should I put anti-freeze back in? I will want water back in in the spring, so if it is ok to leave, should the system be flushedin the spring?

If there's any danger of it dropping below freezing, drain a little water, add some antifreeze, run the bike for a bit, then you're good. I run distilled and Redline WW in mine, and same thing: drain and add some antifreeze for the winter, just in case she gets a little chilly. Some kind of corrosion inhibiter is good to put in there.

Are you sure there is no anti-freeze at all? I use a cheap *** freeze point tester to be safe. If it needed, just add some green and be done with it.

There may be the smallest residual amount of anti-freeze in there, but the system was completely flushed and replaced with distilled water and water wetter. My primary concern is potential corrosion problems as there is absolutely no chance of my garage getting anywhere near freezing.

as long as it's distilled water (and the power doesn't go out in the garage) you're ok. regular water has impurities that will cause the innards to corrode. my buddy had water and water wetter in his bike for about 3 months. one day we were riding, then all the sudden his overflow exploded some nasty brown liquid substance. i think he just hooked his bike up to a garden hose.
but yeah, distilled water is all you should ever put in a bike, simply becase it doesn't have any impurities.
interesting fact: distilled water doesn't boil either until impurities are added. this is called exploding water.
this is what happens when impurities are added to distilled water over 212F
