Default valve noise

My 2005 cbr600rr has 3,100 miles on it. I purchesed it new last fall. Ever since I purched it I have been able to hear the valves when the motor is at idle speed and at low RPM's. It is not a knocking noise, it is just the sound of the parts moving
I would have expected a machine that is as new as mine to run quieter than it does. I dont mean exhaust noise, I mean engine noise.
I run Pro-Honda HP4 10W40 motor oil and have changed the oil 3 times since I bought the bike. I always run high quality 93 oct. unleaded fuel.

Is everyone/anyone else able to hear this noise?
Is is possible that my valves need retorqued?

Ive got an '03, but have always had the sound too... I think I remeber hearing if you use a diff oil wieght you can get the noise down... i also think its pretty common on most sportbikes these days... the lighter/faster the parts get inside the engine, the more noise its gonna be makin... I THINK... lol

take it easy, hope you find an answer....

P.S. I always ride and smile.

Called the Honda tick. My cars and bikes did/do it. But wheelys oil starve the motor and tranny. Valve tap will be the least of your worries LILJOEC. Be careful Homey

Yeah, I've been wondering about that noise too. My '06 F4i has done it from the first time I fired it up. I'm not sure what it is, but I've read about others that do it as well.

Mine makes a noise sounds like the chian inside is loose but not dangerouse is this a chian tension problem or just 20,000 mile noise that I should ignore. I guess it could be the lifters and valves but it isnt a ticking sounds like a chain please let me know don't want to hurt my baby

I thought I had the same problem but then I found out that it was just my keys rattling against the triple clamp.
