I'll take another look. The clip-on has a notch that fits in a slot in the upper triple. Can you guys send me some pics? I could'nt find anything in the pics I took prior to the fork change.

The reason I noticed after is that I broke the mounting tab on my upper. The windscreen bolt then made a horrible noise as it scraped the reservoir cover while turning. I had to remove that bolt to ride the last session due to the friction.

No pics, but I usually just snug the bosses on the clips against the notch in upper triple. That's the simple way to make sure they are at the same angle. I try to get mine at "flat" as possible. Better on my wrists.

I had a chance to look at another F4i yesterday. The issue is that the handlebar to fairing stay HEIGHT relationship is off. Is it possible that the triple trees are somehow damaged (bearings)? Rotation is smooth and slop free. I've removed and reinstalled the clip-on at least twice and it's firmly seated. The bar ends appear to be equidistant from the tank.[sm=headbang.gif][sm=dontgetit.gif]

OK, take a look at the steering stops on the top of the lower triple. It is possible that you bent one, and this is allowing your clip-ons to go farther than normal.

I'll do that too, it seems priudent. I wanted to take it for a spin today as I haven't ridden in more than 5 weeks. The front fairing was more difficult that it should be going back on. I'm almost convinced that I just need to spend some $$ on fairing stays.

As I rode, it did look like the upper and lower triples weren't in line w. each other. Could've been in my head though, but I remember seeing a M/C mechanic straighten a tweaked front end by twisting just like a bicycle.
