Track Days
I just curious on how much one should plan to spend for a day at the track. I know this is a vague question and someone is probably going to roust for it, but whatever. I'm just trying to get an idea of all those things that you don't plan for if you never taken your bike to a track day. i.e. tape for lights, new oil filter with hole for safety wire, track fees, etc.

RE: Track Days
I had a my first track day with NESBA and had two 20 minute free session. But for the most part you are looking at $120-200 just to run at the track all day. $400 plus for suite, $200 for boots, $40+ for gloves that cover the wrist, obviously a helmet. Taping your bike up cost me $2 for some blue painters tape and we didn't have to safety wire anything but it doesn't cost much to do. Hope this helps, ask abadfish if you have any further questions he know the ins and outs of track days.

RE: Track Days
what you have to do to the bike depends on which org you ride with, some don't require any safety wiring, some do
the first thing you should do is flush coolant and put in water mixed with water wetter
fees for the track are usually $100-$200 depending on the track
figure a can of gas + whats in the tank, gas for travel, hotel $, food costs, etc
its a good idea to change the oil and filter before a trackday and then change the oil afterwards
