F4i is stillone hell of a capable track day weapon. Get your suspension set up and some sticky icky tires and you're good to go.

I have a bunch of helmet cam videos, here is one: click me. The guys that are killin' me on the straights are all liter bikes. Theres even a guy out there on a Ducati Desmo RR that I beat up on.

the F4i ruled the track back in its day, and it is still a very dangerous weapon in the right hands. I have taken my F4i to Mid O several times and to Barber earlier this year.(taking my 07rr to Barber today actually)

You can turn somepretty good times, and run in the advance group, but the faster you want to go, the more throttle control you need. The F4i is an awesome bike, and handles very well.I couldrail a corner on the track, and often passed people on the outside of corners.Man is a great feeling to pass a liter bike on the outside of a corner!! The only true downside I foundwith the F4i on the track was that you had to keep the RPM's up around 10k-12k when leaned over in a corner with you knee on the deck so that you had plenty of power coming up out of the corner, otherwise the newer bikes and liter bikes would get you coming out of the corners. The problem with that, is that the throttle was so damn twitchy that high in the RPMs and you were all the way over on the edge of the tire, you had to be perfect on the throttle, otherwise you would slide it out.

I had a few mods on mine, the 2 biggest needs being the Ohlins fork springs to support my fat ***(180lb w/ogear) and a set of woodcraft rearsets to keep from draggin pegs. but I also had an Akra exhuast and PCIII, galfer pads and SS lines, pazzo levers, E racing track plastics.
