Default Torn between undertails!

Initially i was all set and at ease with getting a hotbodies undertray with a clear alternatives integrated then i started looking at this undertail on ebay that has the 2 circles for the brake/running and two strings of LED for the directionals.

Would anyone be able to tell me from experience the pro's and con's of either?

I'm critical of the undertail because on the red circles it says CBR and i wish i didnt and on top of that if i went with the undertray then i think id be more visible. I also think with the undertail i would be able to mount my plate on the battery box and thats where i want it.

One more question----without a tire hugger i would imagine with sh@t constantly flying up unprotected that the undertail/tray will get beat up fast?

thanks!

the onlything I've heared that is bad with undertails is that the leds can be crappy and not emit as much light as OEM...I personally would stay with the OEM style tail light...technically u don't even need a clear alternatives...You can just integrate the stock taillight

^+1. I got rid of my Rumble undertail pretty quickly because of the poor visability
in daylight. I don't put as many miles on my bike as most here, but my undertail
doesn't take that bad of a beating.

I purchased a "eBay" undertail for my 954rr. Havent seen another like it yet, dunno who even makes it, but like your it replaces the entire tail light and uses circle style lights except mine had 4 total lights 2 for brake and 2 turn indicators. However this particular light makes more than enough light to be seen and it looks awesome and gives my bike a unique look, due to the whole undertail being replaced.

Take a look at you current 'undertail' and all the crap that hit it. Same will happen to your painted one. I plan on getting a black tire hugger, and then a color matched undertail. Protect it!

there is a module u can purchase...dnt remember where I got it. Cut some wires and merge them with some others and ur done...I even got a taillight strobe for better visibility.....wen I press on my brakes...the brake light turns on and pulses slightly...def a nice safety feature.
