Default TIRE & SOUND

Does different tire make different sound to the bike?

I just switched from dunlop qualifiers to pirelli diablos, and my bike sounds different. Is it just me?

Wouldn't surprise me. Happens with cars, probably happens with bikes.

I would be somewhat concerned if it's a noticeable difference. e.g. are the new tires noisier? do you feel any vibration associated with the noise? It's possible the wheels weren't properly balanced after the new tires were installed.

Not trying to scare you, but that is one possible cause of noise / vibration. If it feels okay, that's what matters most.

Also, you may want to run different pressures on the new tires, go with what is recommended by the tire manufacturer. Running the tires at a different pressure than recommended could also cause strange things to happen.

sounds could also because the chain is either to tight now or way to loose after the tire change.
