Just ordered a new front... For the people who change their own tires, how hard are they to change, and how hard is the bead to break? Comparable to quad tires?

There are a billion DIY motorcycle tire change videos on youtube, which my job blocks so i cant link up any right now.

You NEED the right tools,
2 - Tire Irons
2 - rim protectors, (you can make your own by cutting a plastic bottle)
An air compressor to seat the bead, before i got one i would take my tires/rim into pep boys, ask for a favor, and they would just pop it on for you real quick with their compressor. Dont forget your windex to lube the tire.
And finally a leverage tool made out of 2x4s, and a car or other heavy stationary object to pop the bead off the rim, this is the hardest part, there are several videos regarding how to pop the bead off yourself. Just gotta search a bit. some are ghetto but all get the job done.

Also make your you mount the tire accordingly with the valve stem, the tire should be marked or dotted where the valse stem should be.

I ride to work when I can ~80 miles per day about half interstate and half twist. I have a PP 2ct on the front and a PP on the rear. I ride hard but not crazy and my rear is about shot at just over 7200 miles.

Right now, at $110(rear) and $94(front) shipped, no other tires are in that class at that price. I ride in the rain and at temps as low as 38 deg f and these tires have never let me down.

IMHO, I would not mount your tires yourself as there will be no way for you to balance them. There is no way I'm going over 100mph on tires that are not balanced. OTOH, by all means take the time and get the tools needed to take off your tires(stands and torque wrench)...it's only about $20 bucks to have a tire mounted if you bring in just the wheel.

I run a Full Bore. Very price friendly and I love it. Ran Micheline Pilots before then....I'm hooked on the Full Bore. Ultra Sticky, very good priced. I have had them about 1500 miles now and I am almost certain they are going to last a good while too.

I forgot about balancing. I have a buddy with a few track bikes and he says he has never balanced a tire and never had any problems.

I used Dynabeads with great results for a self balancing system.

NEW PP 2CT for $200? haha please enlighten me where I could've found that, I don't know. I checked everywhere, and on the Michelin website itself with discount plus a sale, and also on eBay. cheapest I found new was about $250 for the set. The rear tire alone new, I can only find for around $130 on eBay
