Thanks! Good luck to you. I should have some new pics up soon. it is looking pretty dope! I think I might try to fit a ZX-10 tail light into it.

Ok, so I havent posted on this in forever. I also havent done anything in forever. Last week I started working again. I attached my subframe to a work table and then bolted the R1 shell to it. I then used cardboard and and painters tape to rough in the sides. Once that was done I put fiberglass on the outside and inside of the cardboard. Then more and more fiberglass. Then Bondo. I am obviously skipping any details, but I am lazy and not good at step by step photos. It is now almost done. I have one or 2 light coats of bondo to finish it then it is paint time. I think it will be done this week.

First 2 pics are it on the table.

3rd is after a few layers of fiberglass.

Last 2 are after most of the bondo is done.

I know this is not the best thread, but its something. I will post more as paint and electrical come together.

Couple more pics. I will take a few more in the next few days. Everything is done, except I have to make a bracket for the tail light, turn signals and license plate. I will get into everything I did too. Too lazy right now. I also need to get some black and silver paint on there.

Wow! That looks great!

I'm curious how the balance of the bike feels with the battery at the very end of the tail. You probably shaved off enough weight elsewhere in the tail that is negligible.

I will let you know about the weight balance. I have not gotten to really ride it yet. Unfortunately I was unable to finish the bracket for the tail lights and stuff, so I couldnt do any riding, except a short rip down my street. Also, I plan to order one of those light weight batteries. Then it wount even be noticable.
