Time for a new tail
Here are two pics of the subframe. I made a small retaining wall for the battery to keep it in place and I am going to put a strap over top of it too. It is a lot of tail weight, but I will be getting a racing battery soon, so that wont be an issue. I also welded the nuts for the rectifier to the subframe as well. This gave it a solid hold down and also spaced it off the bike to keep it cool. I have room for power commander and fuel modual and all that crap too. I did extend the power cables as well, obviously.

HAHAHAHAHA, well no, it came with white gel coat. That white dust is fiber glass dust from me cutting it up last night. There is a nice layer ALL over my garage. Doh. I didnt post pics of that, cause it is not done. I will post those soon.
I commend you on such a project! If you think the F4i's tail is big take a look at the 05-06 ZX6R 636's! I was 2 sec away from buying one and just may in the near future but MAN IS HER *** FAT...like dumb FAT
I dunno...The pics look good but I dont think the F4i was designed all around to look normal with a skinnier race tail...I mean the tail looks great and then your eyes move forward and the plastics and nose do not flow with it...so it looks like 2 different bikes back to front.....My opinion, fab up some smaller race plastics and try to narrow her down so she flows!
Btw, I thought of doing a streetfighter look on my F4i and I think the pic with just the seat (no subframe) at stock height looks pretty cool! But ya, better hold on bc if you loose grip on the bars you go bye bye
