Default Tie Down Points

Other than the handle bar area, what is the best place to tie down a bike for transport? This is in reference to an '02 F4i.

Handles of course. For the rear, you can use on long ratchet tie down through the holes of the passenger pegs to tie it off. this way there is no heavy direct pressure on the rear tire.

i put a long rachet strap through the passenger pegs and clamp the **** out of it. the test is if you can wiggle the sub frame of the bike and the whole truck moves. i also put a ratchet strap around a piece of the frame through the radiator vent in the fairings... one on each side. bike will not buge.

I took about a 1200 mile round trip and we trailered the bikes. We used the Canyon Dancers in the front and the passenger pegs in the back. You want to put the straps as high up as you can on the bike for stability reasons.

I do handle bars and one over the seat. The one over the seat I angle to the rear so it pulls the bike back a little bit.
