Default Throttle Play

Ive notived that on my F4i I've got about a 1/4 turn of throttle play. is this normal? I've been attempting to be more percise with my throttle control. Going into corners, especially on a race track throttle should be crack at the entry and opened at an even rate through the rest of the turn. anything i can do to get rid of this free play?

My 06 has about a tenth of a turn, but is very abrupt right opening and closing. It makes certain slow speed turns annoying. At the 600 mile checkup they said it is normal. My buddies 1000RR has a much smoother throttle.

Yes.. you can adjust the throttle. You'll see a nut and sleeve near your bend where it connects to your throttle. Loosen the nut and make the adjustment. If that's not enough... the major adjustment is on the other end where the cable connects to the carbs/throttle bodies. That's the tough one to get to because you have to remove a lot of plastic.
