Default Throttle mod

I was wondering if anyone had ever modded the overall throw of their throttle (the amount you have to twist to go to full throttle). If so how did you do it. I find the throw to be a little too much twist and would like to shorten it.

Thanks

havent heard that one before...
Unless someone's done it, the only way I can think is open up the throttle handle and increase the size of the wheel on which the cable is pulled when the throttle is turned...

you're talking a bout getting more "throw" at the beginning of the throttle? you want better launches or something? i heard from a little birdy that guys racing the newer R1s swap their throttle tubes out for F4i tubes to make the bikes throttle spread out and easier to control. I imagine if they can use our tubes we can use theirs. check ebay and let us know how it works. you could probably get one for < $20 shipped.

Around here guys are using anYamaha R6 oem throttle tube, which is 1/5. Don't know if they fit on an F4i but I've heard of GSXR's,SV's, and ZX10'susing them so it will probably work. I'm planning on doing it thiswinter.

Slack in the throttle? What post did you read?

Thanks to the rest of you. I've heard the R6 throttle tube has a bigger cam on it. I think I'll see if I can come up with one. I want the throttle modded, not for the launch but for the top end. I ride track primarily now and want a quicker way to full throttle than the seemingly endless tuning of the throttle I do now.
