First off, your completely right, we are crazy, crazy smart. If your smart enough to own a honda then your smart enough to own a chevy/gmc truck too.

I just orderd a new RK chain. The last one made it about 20,000 miles. Im going with a AFAM superlight rear steel sprocket to see if I can get some more milage out of everything [1st renthal rear lasted 16,000 or so]

As for brands... i'd go with whats cheap. Usually thats the popular brands anyways. (ebay!)
Chains brands - def get a quality name brand. i've seens some chain failures and they are UGLY!
Sick97ss do you wear earplugs?

Kow, you're right about that unsprung weight/ recipricating mass crap...On paper. Sure you will shed a few tenths on lap time...if you're the best of the best, but for all of us on here, we'll never notice it. If we really wanna race faster, we need to ride better. We can all shave our times simply by improving our techniques and pickin better lines to run.

Thanks for the replies guys. And I absolutely agree that better technique is what will improve my lap times at this moment; I am rider-limited not bike-limited for sure.

I think I will end up keeping the stock gearing because I don't want to invest in a Speedo-Healer too. I don't want to rack up extra miles without it, and I also can't say that I wish my bike was faster. I barely go WOT in 1st gear...

I'll probably go for steel sprockets for longevity and I'll see what my mechanic says about a 520 vs 525.

Theres no reason NOT to go 520 on a F4i unless you invest in a turbo or some NOS. A 520 has all the tensile strength you'll ever need. If you really feel strongly that it could be an issue anyways then get the top rated chains, they are normally stronger then the standerd ones [like my RK GXW series chain, its stronger then the XSO]
