I'm taking mine out of storage today. Only thing I'm gonna do that hasn't been mentioned so far is that I will add some lube to the chain. After 3.5 months of sitting there, I bet she may be a little dry.
I also changed the oil about 1,000 miles before storage. The riding season last year lasted longer than I anticipated, hehe.

Should've changed the oil before storing the bike......remember for next year
Run through the remaining gas in the tank...it'll be fine with the Sta-bil in there....then fill 'er up with fresh 87 octane gas.
Clean & lube the chain
Check/tighten all the fairing/fender bolts
CHeck/tighten front & rear axle bolts
Check brake fluid and brake lever operation
Check clutch lever operation.
Check all lights for operation
...and most importantly.......
CHECK TIRE PRESSURES!!!!!!
I'm willing to bet that there probably only about 20-psi or less air in them thar tires.
.....and I think that should cover it

I am gonna forgo the checking of the airbox for mice. My bike is stored in a huge heated underground garage with storage units and what not. I think the chances of the mice deciding to crawl into my bike that is up on stands is fairly unlikely. I will look around the area for mice droppings, but I think I will be fine not actually tearing into the bike and looking at the airbox.

So despite the 30 degree weather, it was super nice out so I took my bike outta winter storage, took it off the battery tender and she started right up...needless to say I had a HUGE GRIN.
Anyhow, after she warmed up you...yep...you bet I did....I took her out for an hour long ride...and man does that bike move. So after a much needed ride...for me at least, I had to stop by the gas station, top her off again...added maybe 1/2 dosage of Stab-IL...and back into storage she went...<sighs> Can't wait for the riding season to come along and the snow to go away!
