Tail Light Converter Wiring - Please Help!!!
Ok, so I took the rear turn signals off my '05 CBR 600f4i and was told it's super easy to integrate them into my rear brake lights with a tail light converter. I went out and bought one and have been struggling with the wiring for hours now.
I took the yellow wire from the converter and connected it to the orange (+) wire on the left turn signal. Then I took the green wire from theconverter and connected it to the blue (+) wire on the right turn signal. I then took the wire labeled turn/stop left from the converter and connected it to the left brake light wire and took the wire labeled turn/stop right from the converter and connected it to the right brake light wire.
I thought this would work but all I get when I turn on either turn signal is both brake lights blinking very dim.

well i tried to use one of these once on my VW bug and couldnt get it to work, but i have heard lots of people using them successfully on bikes though. it sounds like you didnt hook all the wires up to it, correct? in order for the converter to work correctly, it MAY need the ground and tail (+12v) wires hooked up. if there are relays inside of there (not sure exactly how the innards work), then the relays would need a constant power to work properly.
i would try taking some jumpers and connecting the ground and tail light wires to it to see if that helps. you can get a ground from the green wires from the turn signals or the tail lights, and a +12v from the black/brown wire off of the tail light or the license plate light. the other wire in the taillight connector, the green and yellow one, should be what goes to the output on the converter. does that all make sens? hope that works for ya!

Ok, I'll give that a shot. I've been using this schematic: http://sportbikeguy.com/garage/floor...tbntsignal.pdfthatI got from another site which doesn't involve wiring for constant power but I see your point. Thanks for the input!
