Default Tail Light Converter Box wiring - Please Help!!!

Ok, so I took the rear turn signals off my '05 CBR 600f4i and was told it's super easy to integrate them into my rear brake lights with a tail light converter. I went out and bought one and have been struggling with the wiring for hours now.

I took the yellow wire from the converter and connected it to the orange (+) wire on the left turn signal. Then I took the green wire from theconverter and connected it to the blue (+) wire on the right turn signal. I then took the wire labeled turn/stop left from the converter and connected it to the left brake light wire and took the wire labeled turn/stop right from the converter and connected it to the right brake light wire.

I thought this would work but all I get when I turn on either turn signal is both brake lights blinking very dim.

well i have never used a box like that but based on what you wrote, i am going on a very superficial understanding of that box, it seems like you are correct....the only thing i wonder, is can you convert the STOCK tailight??? that i don't know...i know you can integrate a tailight that has such functionality and if the wires mismatch, but i wasn't sure you could convert an OEM light...what mfg is the box and is there instructions online we could look at to see what's going on...

you know what...looking at that now...i don't think that will even work...that's not for bikes...that's for a trailer and assuming independent left and right brake lights....on the bike it's ONE light in the back.....so that wouldn't work i don't think.....

The box I bought is actually a trailer tail light converter box made by U Haul. I bought one of these based on the recommendation in these instructions I got from another site.

I've got two brake lights on my bike. Each bulb has a filament for running lights and a filament for brake lights.

well from looking at that diagram...it should work....hmmm...without seeing how you have it wired up...i couldn't really tell you what's going wrong....i can only assume you have either a short somewhere, or you miswired it according to that diagram....
