I know that everyone has their own personal reasons but I also think that a lot of people do the seat conversionjust because so many peoplemake fun ofthe banana seat... I see this as pointless though becuaseif people aren't bashingit because it has the banana seat they're be bashing it because it's not the RR.

I guess it's all subjective.

Just a heads-up, you're going to run into a problem with the ECU location when switching from the split seat to the bananna seat, unless you change the wiring harness too. There is not enough room under the'04-06 seat for the ECU in the '01-03 location. You need to swap the harness or extend (cut and splice) all the ECU wires and relocate the ECU, else the seat won't fit.

I am working on trying to figure out if the tail conversion is going to work. My high mount exhuast mounts via the passenger pegs and hard mounts to the can, so i dont know if it will work. After talking with ThirdGenxli he said the bracket on his low mount change about an inch from where the band used to sit on his pipe. I will let everyone know whats happening

Hey guys, so i dont know if i am going to do the swap because of my high mount exhuast. If there is anyone out there with a high mount exhuast that fits on the bananna seat and will fit on my 02' F4i i would be willing to swap my M4for yours contingent on you purchasing my old parts.

You can use the '02 M4 high mount with the '04 tail. You will need to drill one hole in the bracket that goes behind the passenger peg. The front hole will line up perfectly, the rear hole needs to be moved 1/4" forward. The spacer tube will cover the old hole so it will look like it was never changed.
