Default Swapping handlebars, Pin/Stud inside controls

I just installed the dirtbars on my F4i and I am now trying to get the right sidecontrols onthe new bars. Inside the right sideswitch housing(starter button housing)is a metal pin or stud thatsabout 3/16 inch indiameter and it fits through a hole thats drilledin the stock clip ons. Of course my new bars don't have any such hole drilled in them for this little pin to fit into and its causing a bit of a problem. While it is technically possible to drill a hole through the new bars it would be terribly complicated and nearly impossibleto measure and locate the exact spot on the new bars where I should drill a 3/16s hole.

Anybody ever swapped handlebars to new clip ons or dirtbars and dealt with this?

i had to drill one on my R6 clipons. it doesnt have to be perfect, as all it does it keep the controls lined up on the bars. i just took my stock one and tried to drill the hole in the same spot on my new one. worked perfect.

I was overreacting a little bit in my haste to get things done. I drilled a hole in my new bars, no big deal, everything went on perfect only now I have to get new cables where I hoped my stock ones would have been long enough.
