Default stripped screw

My hex bolts that hold the front mirrors on are stripped. All 4 of them pretty much. Not the bolts themselves, but the metal i screw them into.

What do i do now?

get a cut off tool or a small sharp edged grider Notch the bolts and take them out with a screw driver or you could try drilling them out.. which is a pain!

This is why i have a set of ease outs and and set of taps. So when the bolts break or the threads strip. I can get the bolts out and/or i can re-tap the threads....Makes life soo much easier when dealing with things like that....=-)

Broke and stripped a screw on my 929 gas tank. This is why i made the investment of the ease out and the taps....=-)

The faring stay is what you screw the bolts in to. Why not drill them out and just put a bolt through it with a nut?
