ok i have a welder friend..and i was wondering when i cut my stock exhaust to make shorter and louder...where do i cut and has anyone ever done this?? thankss

 

its alot more work than you think i cut mine at the back by the outlet tube. i shortened it about 6 inches but to pull the guts out is a pain there rivited in but if you have a torch handy its easier i heliarced mine back together but becareful its very thin

 

stock pipe is a bit tricky cause u cant rivet it u have to weld it(f4i and 929 not sure about others). With stock ones u have to cut the side closer to the midpipe, on my f4i i cut the portion that the bracket was welded to and it worked mint, except for the ****ty weldingjob i did.

 

I wouldn't suggest it. I will look like crap and sound like crap. Leave it stock until you can afford a real pipe.

 

unless u going to stunt, i wouldnt recommend it either

i had mine cut for $50...sounds better. and half the weight of that **** is gone...stock pipes are HEAVY!

id give it to someone that has a bike shop and that has done it before....not to just some welder.
