Default Stator cover scratched fix

This has surely been done, but thought I'd post anyway. Mine had some small scuff marks and it bugged me. 6 dollars later on ebay, I guess its better than looking at a scratched one.

Thanks. I'm not a fan of stickers or decals but this looks ok I suppose, and until I get the time and money to replace the cover it'll have to do. If you do end up doing it, go for ride for about ~20min and then as soon as you get home, put the decal on (wear gloves) and then press and hold it for about a min and let the bike cool for a while. mines been on for a few weeks now, hasn't moved, and I've washed the bike once too.

This is what it looked like from the PO who scratched it;

Why would you replace the cover for a scratch? Just repaint it. I did mine in black with the honda in red

True. I just assumed I would replace it so its original. Maybe I'll give it a shot and paint it over the winter.

What a great idea, it's so pleasing to the eye that the sticker looks so flush with the circular part. Wonder though if it would warp over time with heat

Its a surprisingly good quality decal, not a paper thin sticker but more of a thin disk. Mines been on for a solid 2+ weeks and I ride daily, and it hasn't shifted or changed a bit. I did buy 2 though just in case
