Default spring cleaning

Well I spent about 10 or 12 hours this weekend and fixed the bike up and gave it a very thorough cleaning. I never got a chance last year, when I bought it, to really go over it and clean it up good. Some spots were really dirty. The back of the sprocket had almost an 1/8 inch of grim and grease built up. Anyways here's my baby all bathed with two coats of wax.

I also threw on some new Pilot Powers, rim tape, gold levers, xenon headlight bulbs, short stem mirrors and there is a smoked windscreen in the mail. I'll have to post an updated pic when it comes in.

This one was taken before i got my rim tape put on but my dog seemed to want his picture taken.

Looks sharp. Have you taken those Pilot Powers on some hard corners? They stick like glue once they're warmed up. I love mine.

Nice! I just bought my bike a couple weeks ago and have been cleaning the best I can until I get my plates and am able to ride it over to a driveway where I can clean it properly. The hardest part is getting all the metal parts clean deep inside where the rear spring is.

Where did you get your shorty mirrors, do you find it a lot harder to see with them? Also what Xenon bulbs did you get exactly, do you have a pic of how they look on?

Thanks

Took a big trip this weekend but 2up so I couldn't get too hard in the corners but next weekend is will be the first time on this set. I ran the powers last year and loved em.

I cleaned the rear spring while I had my wheels off for tire change. Made things soo much easier. I also found the to remove the real hard caked on dirt spray a little WD40 on an old rag and start scrubbing. The dirt just peels off. Just be carefull where you do that though. Don't get any WD40 on the chain or on the tires for example.

The short stem mirrors are a pain to try and see out of. I got them off e-bay same with the xenon bulbs. I haven't got a picture with them turned on yet but once the rain quits I'll get ya one.
