Default Info on cleaning\syncing carbs, cleaning jets

I remember seeing a pair of great How-To's somewhere on the forums last fall for cleaning and syncing carbs, including pictures and info on doing the jets. I can't seem to find said threads now, best I got was this one:

Awesome, thanks man. That first thread especially looks perfect. What I'm wondering right now before I head out to start tinkering is whether I should fire the bike up and let it stall out to get most of the gas out before removing the carbs. When I put it away for the winter I purposely flooded everything with stabil gas.
