Speedometer and Odometer not working, constant 5V from VSS
The speedometer and odometer stopped working on my bike. There is no FI error code.
I'm going through the troubleshooting steps in my Clymer manual. So I put the bike up on a rear stand and took the front fairing off. I then inserted multi-meter probes in the connectors leading to the gauge cluster at the green/black and pink/green wires.
When I turn the ignition to on the multi-meter reads 5v. However, when I spin the rear wheels slowly with my hand the voltage stays at 5v. Is this suppose to "pulse" between 0v and 5v? Does this mean my speed sensor is bad? Or is there a way a faulty connection could cause this as well?
Constant 5V between pink/green and green/black wires, even when the rear wheel is rotated
Here's a few more photos and videos showing me rotating the rear wheel, the speedometer not working when the rear wheel is moving, and the lights on the cluster when I start it up.
