just wondering if anyone out there can tell me how to change a MPH speedo to a KPH ... apparently there is a way of doing it, but i can seem to find out how.

the reason for me wanting to know is that i am replaceing the surface mount orange LED's in the dash to green, and i have managed to pic up another speedo off of ebay, but it is in MPH, and considering i am from Australia, i need it to be KPH, ... now looking at the LCD screen i can see a faint KPH on it, but can figure out how to change it over... anyhelp would be greatly appreciated...peace

 

i did this b4...if u remember rite the bike must be on...hold both of the button down and it should change...look at the milage when u do this it should jump to a higher number

Where did u get the green LED's I been wanting to change the orange to blue

 

if its 02-06 hold down the top button for a couple of seconds. if you dont hold it down all it will do is change the trip meter on the bottom. but the previousl post is corect the odometer should jump up....

 

thanks for the input... turnes out the guy i was gonna buy the dash off was a tosser, and didnt end up getting it... the LED's on the other hand i got here in OZ for a place called JAYCAR.. $6 AUD for 10.... all you really need is a steady hand and a very low wattage adjustable soldering iron... those little babies hate heat.

Am still looking round for another dash.... anyone got a spare...
