Spark plug change interval
Do you guys really change the plugs every 8000 miles like ti says in my manual? The P.O. changed them before i bought them, but Ive put over 10000 miles on it at least since then. That is like a set of plugs a season, and then some.
You guys really do it that often? ha, for me eight thousand is often...

My manual recommends "checking" them at 12,000, but it doesn't say replace them. I had things apart over the weekend, so replaced them while I was at it. The local Honda parts guy kind of laughed. He said they rarely replace them because they're so durable.
And at $15 each, I'm not sure I'd do it again. The old ones were in good shape.
By the way, my manual recommends removing the radiator and getting at the plugs from underneath. Not sure I'd do that. I happened to have the tank off and got them from above and it was hard enough to get the direct-fire coils out of the holes.
I have an 06 with the Irridium fine-wire plugs. Earlier models used another plug, I believe.
