Shoes

Like I said. Bring on the wheelchairs. I also look at it based on the fact that we drive the most unsafe vehicles on the road. SOOOO. While I understand a need for protection, it's almost like trying to play devil's advocate.

Well I made it to Royal yesterday to see what they had for riding boots. Almost got a pair of Nitro Racing boots but decided to compromise between usability and protection. I ended up with these for $100.
Only rode home in them but so far they feel great. Comfy to walk around in and not bulky at all. Infact its easier to shift with these on then with my running shoes I normally wear.

The lack of logic for not wearing boots is staggering.
Course, I wear them every time I go out, along with gloves, jacket, pants, helmet, and a back protector.
Yes motorcycles are dangerous by nature, but almost always even if you get hurt in a wreck, gear will keep you from being considerably hurt.
Of course it is your choice to wear gear or not, just understand that not, is stupid.

Yes, all of us on 2 wheels are taking risks, but we can reasonably reduce them by doing things that really don't change the experience much.

Of course, which is reasonable. But really, boots are a matter of getting used to. Heck, once I break a pair in I've worn them through an entire work day.

As I stated earlier..I do agree with you...I have had the personal experience of crashing with sneakers on and to me it is worth spending the extra bucks for boots...Again you can't buy feet...I really sucks when you take all the skin off your ankles or break them....Everytime you see the bike racers crash...They always seem to land on their feet pretty hard at one point....Then you see them get up like nothing happenned....All because of their equipment...I also have a friend that lost a leg on a biking accident...He tells me if he had boot and leather pants he would have kept it...Cheers..
