Shoes
I was wondering what everyone wears on their feet when they ride casually. I don't want to buy a pair of boots, but my laces got caught on the brake the other day and it just seems like a dumb risk. So for now I tuck laces in, but I'm looking for a casual/comfortable shoe without laces. Any suggestions?
What you're really after is something that protects the ankle and has an enclosure for the laces. I wear Dainese Quito Leather Shoes. I went with the Dainese because I think they're stylish enough for up to semi-casual wear. I've found them to be more comfortable than my Timberlands and Nike boots. Chances are when I'm going out I grab them even when I'm leaving the bike at home.
Motorcycle Riding Shoes will give you a pretty good variety of shoes you can wear while riding. Some sneaker type, some hiking boot type. And all will fit your requirements. Good luck

I wear my racing boots every time on the bike. They offer the best protection from any crash, and I'm used to them.
At minimum, whatever you get, make it over the ankle. Tennis shoes will not do a damn thing to protect your feet / ankles.

I wear Alpinestars Smx-2's, Excellent boot, Looks awesome imo... They are really comfortable too...If you happen to get these though definitely try a size smaller than you generally wear because they run a little big.
I also have to admit that even after getting these..I still wear my sneakers.
You laces are obviously too long. I've been wearing green DC's for almost 3yrs and 38,000 miles and have never ever gotten them caught on anything. My pants loop and get caught on the footpeg slider though
