Shinko 009/005 tires
I have Shinkos now, and I did start to push them a LITTLE in the cold, with a bit of salt, and I lost faith in the road before the tires. I've done some serious leaning, but not a very high speeds. My next set is definitely going to be Michelins, and whatever is better for more up and down riding.
i've had a 005 rear before, never again. it felt ok for around 2k miles then the back end just felt like it was washing side to side every time i'd lean it over any bit
went to PP 2cts all around and probably will get another set when they're needed

In my view, the worst piece of crap tire I've ever owned. The compound is very hard, the shape has a hard chine that feels weird when approaching a hard lean. Might have improved that with some pressure experimentation.
But...picked up another nail and trashed it, so I went back to Dunlop Qualifiers, which is a slightly more expensive tire--like $40 maybe--but is a known quantity.
If you ride at all hard on the street or track, tires are the main thing that keep you from busting your ***. It's not worth going the cheap route, if you ask me.
My two cents.

I roll with the Shinko Stealth. It is a soft race compound tire. I personally love the tire. I ride fairly aggressively, well for a fourty year old. and I have had NO problems with the tire. I am going to do track days this summer but I am only going to ride till Im comfortable. Like I said. I love the tire for the price and I have had no problems what so ever with them.
I ran Shinko 005's on a 2000 F4 for a season. I mostly did touring that summer and the tires held up amazingly and lasted about 13000km or so before I changed to a set of BT-014's. For highway commuting I think they are great, for twisties, not so much. I'm running Pilot Power 2CT's on my F4i now and BT-003's on my CBR250RR.
