shinko tires
I've heard they're a no=no BUT
Anybody remember Yokohama ? They were bought by Shinko, so I'm told. They made good tyres.
It's always hearsay about these tyres, but I've never heard a comment from anyone who actually HAS THEM in their bike.
Let's hear from someone who can actually vouch for the fact that they are no good, or not. If all else fails I'll buy a cheap set in a few months, and let you know how they are on a 1000F.

I have Shinko 005 Advance on my F3. They're tires tbh. For how I ride, city / highway, they're fine. I've never had a problem with them. Or like I said in another thread the only time I've had them do something squirrely is when the nut behind the bars did something stupid. Others have them and report similar to better experiences.
Not sure I'd trust them to extended limit pushing riding, like canyon carving every weekend. But that's cause of all the negative reports people have plastered all over. I think someone experienced with multiple brands of tires should give them a review. Someone who can look at them unbiased and report honestly...
Hmm... Shadow didn't you say something about a law career?

Maybe I could give you an unbiased opinion.............hehe
Does being a Judge count as having a career in Law ?
Some people think we give decisions based on what we had for supper.....

I ran a set of Shinko 009 Ravens on my M2 Buell. Did a 2000 mile trip to Americade on them in all kinds of weather even pushed them on the Kangamagus in the White Mts. Preformed well. Tread life was good considering the Buell ate rear tires, the front resisted cupping very well. Only complaint is that the 170 series rear was wider then any other 170 Id seen which would suit the fat tire liking crowd just fine except it rubbed the inside of my hugger which I had to remove. All in all for the $ they were great. So good infact a buddy has them on his 07 VFR800 right now but he has had a problem getting the front to balance. Having said that it could be the idiot shop and not the tire but we wont know that for sure till he replaces the tire, his rear it doing great with long tread wear so far.

I also have 005 Advances on my F3, they have a bit over 2000 miles on them and are great in the dry and in the wet, great traction and wear. Haven't had them on a track, but that's not my thing anyway, so I couldn't tell you how they perform above street speeds.
