The seat dispute
I almost bought a 01 f4i but I got my 04 with 871 miles on it for the same price,
And I like the solo look anyway. Hardly ever take it off and it comes off in 1 min.
The guys I ride with have a 97 f3 and a 02 f4i and the first one to get sore is the guy on the 02. But they all get rated very comfortable sportbikes.

I completely agree with VTcbr. I bought my 03 in may and it came with both the Corbin and the stock seats. I have ridden with both for over 5 hour trips and the Corbin performs amazingly. Its a harder seat (not soft/plushy like stock) but instead of sloping down like the stock it is formed more like your a$$. I took the corbins off and put the stock back on just because I thought, softer must be more comfortable, but I was deff wrong. The corbin seats are staying on. The only reason I still have the stock seats is that I plan on building a bag onto the back seat so I can have storage for long trips when the girl stays home. I replaced a 86 VFR 750 that had a banana seat with the 2 tier seat on the f4i and am very impressed. The fiance was not sure abou the split seat at first but after getting used to it she likes it better too.
They make tail bags specifically for that purpose.
