when installing the sealing washer for the drain bolt, does the lighter/scruffier side go up, or does the chrome clean side go up?


Also side note, whats the difference between an sg grade oil and an sj grade oil? Exact same oil just a few years apart and it just has this one letter difference

 

Shiny side againts the bolt, flat side againts the pan. You can google the differences in oil.
