Default running rich?

Ever since I put a D&D pipe on my F4i it smells like it's running rich? Did I do something wrong or is something wrong? I bought a used one off an 03 but it seems to fit the 04 fine.

if anything, the bike should be running leaner. most f4is stank of fuel.
try disconnecting the battery to reset if you haven't done so when you installed the pipe, but i'm not sure if it'll do any good with the F4i.

as far as the model years, doesn't matter.

slip-on really shouldnt change much, now if it was a full exhaust that might be a different story. it is possible that the bikes computer recognized that there was a better exhaust airflow so it started giving the motor more gas. im sure the computer should reset itself after awhile. if not then remove the battery to reset the computer. and if all else fails and you still think something is wrong then take it to your dealer.

The F4i does not sense a change in flow or adjust anything.

All that I can think of would be that his bike has an O2 sensor and the new pipe does not use it and so the mixture is off.

No O2 sensor that I saw, I'll look again though. I'm gonna try the computer thing for S&Gs though
