Default RR Swing arm Swap

I have a couple of questions about this swap. I have a 1000rr shock and the stock linkage that is attached to that. 600rr swingarm with the "horn-looking" linkage at the bottom, the one that actually attaches to the shock. I was wondering if the U-shaped dog bone from the 1000rr will work? or will I have to order the 600rr dog bone, they look almost identical from pictures i've seen. Also, should there be any space in the centerstand bracket? With the 1000rr dog bone on there is about a half inch of room in the centerstand bracket (linkage swung up okay). One last question, the tutorial states not to overtighten the 3/8" bolt that goes through the centerstand. I was wondering how tight is overtight and if there was a rough estimate of how much torque to put on it? Thanks in advance!

Alot of people that i have talked to didnt get any significant gain in handling with the RR swingarm swap. I dont think you would feel any difference from it unless you road on a track.

Hell I just went riding today with my F4i in the twisties and it sticks like a mother f*cker, and I only have a meduim compound Batlax front and rear tire. I need to buy some soft compound to really be safe but hell. Im draggin my knees in the corners and I still trust them tires without a RR swingarm on it.

The RR swingarm conversion isnt something people do to gain any kind of handling from it. It actually extends the wheelbase by almost and inch and a half. That wouldnt give you any gain in handling and could possibly make the bike handle worse... bigger turning radius, etc.. but im not too sure what difference an inch and half would make, but just common sense tellls me it wouldnt really do you any good. So any reason to do the conversion in the first place would be because it makes the bike look sick as hell. I would do it, but dont have the funds.

Yeah I mainly did the mod because I like the look of the RR swing arm better. I have nice tires (brand new pilot powers) so I'm not too worried about grip. I'm not an expert rider at all so I will probably not notice the handling difference if any. I was just wondering if the linkage from the 1000rr will work so if anyone knows any answers to the first post please help. Thanks.
