So, Im having an issue with my 2001 F4I. Every once in a while when I start the bike it will idle super low like 5/600 RPM and sounds like its starving for fuel, than after a few seconds the FI light comes on solid no blinks at any point and smooths out the idle. any idea what's causing it? 30k mileage. Ive seen a few others with issues with the pump and regulator, but i dont see any visible leaks and the pump primes just fine everytime.

 

You have to set the ECU in diag mode for it to blink the FI light and tell you the code. Its there waiting for you to read.
