what size rimstripes are people using? 1/8? 1/4? 1/2? I want to do it as soon as i get home, but i have to get the stripe.... and i have the instructions for the applicator, but do you recommend pre curved ones anyway??

 

I just did the pre curved ones, from a seller on ebay, and they came out awesome. I believe they are 1/2 inch. I will try to get some pics up asap. I highly recomend the precurved ones though. It took me about 15 min to install and they look great. I think they cost me about $15 shipped and I had them in about 3 days. PM me if you want the seller, he can make any color you want.

 

I have used both, the precurved ones from ebay. and the straight ones from tapeworks.com

the precurved are very easy to install, but the tapeworks are a much better quality vinyl

 

i dont recall what size stripes i actually bought, i purchased them from www.tapeworks.com (excellent people). but im sure you'll get some off ebay [&:].

mine we not pre-curved and i didnt use the applicator. i have a rear stand and if you have one, or can get your hands on one it makes ita hell of alot easier!

 

do the pre curved ones come in one piece? i just sw a picture of one on ebay and they were like 6 pieces per side.

 

mine from tapeworks were one per rim. but they shipped me 5 (maybe six, cant remember) incase i screwed up, i'd have an extra.

 

The pre curved one I bought were 4 pieces per rim, but if you take you time putting them on, you cant tell the difference.

 

get precurved or go home...makes like that much easier...hate seeing very nice bikes with rim tapes that make them look like they have bent rims...
