Default reserve fuel light problem

when i had my bike painted.. i took the tank off, drained it and everything worked fine when i took it off.
now since it has been painted , the reserve fuel bars ( 4 little bars) constantly flash. i have tried removing the postive battery cable.. unplugging the fuel pump. and even removed the fuel pump and cleaned it up with the same response.. when i take the battery off or unplug it ,, the reserve goes out for a few minutes then comes back on and runs down till all 4 bars are flashing and stays that way. and when it was painted the fuel pump was not removed from the tank..

any clue as to why or what to do?

maybe the intake sensor is stuck at the bottom position. How long was the tank off? could have caused everything to dry out and stick. Check out the assembly in the tank

the tank was off for about 3 weeks.. and when it started i took the fuel pump out.. cleaned it out real good. tapped on everythin just in case it was stuck. put it all back in with the same results.. looks like im just going to have to get a new fuel sender assembly IDK
