last week i took out the gas tank to get it painted and after installing it back on, nowthe reserve light never turn off eventhough i have a full tank of gas. anyone have any idea what i can do to get it to turn off and work properly? would be much apriciated. thanx

 

you might have messed up the level sensor?!
also, after you fill your bike, it takes a couple of miles to register a non-reserve tank so make sure you ride it and then check whether the indicator goes away. possibly keeping the engine running for 2 minutes will also fix it.

 

i used up two tank already and its still on.

 

after my bike was painted same thing, still havent got it fixed 3 other f4i's on here are the same way, so idk wtf to do about it. if you figure it out let me know

 

Did they coat the inside of your tank. The sensor is attached to the fuel pump assemby in the tank and the manual says if it stays on to replace the fuel pump assembly. Ive had the pump out before and you probably could get by with pulling it and cleaning. Its probably got something stopping it up, like paint.
