i have an older garage so there is support beams that go across the ceiling.. i use one of my ratchet straps that i use to hold down bike in a pickup and loop it around the subframe support that the rear seat hooks on and just ratchet it up.. the bike will sway a little but if the kick stand is down and leaned to that side it wont fall over.. thats how i had it lifted when i did the 600rr swing arm swap..it does help to have front stand but not needed..

 

I have a 2006 f4i that has been lowered an inch but im trying to find a stock dogbone to get it back up to the stock height. I found some place to get the thing for 121$ anyone know of anything cheaper ?
