Remove decals question

Remove decals question
Ok I have a dumb question, so bear with me.
Anyway, I want to entirely remove the factory graphics from my bike. I understand part of the trick is to use a heat gun and slowly pull the stickers off, however...
1- Is the wing logo on the tank under the clearcoat?
2- Since the plastic is yellow, is the whole bottom half of my fairing that is black actually just a giant decal?
I'd go look but I was thinking about this now and I'm at work, while my bike is at home.
It's on my 01 F4i, thx

So...... How do you remove the tank fairings that are clear coated without completely stripping all of the paint on the tank? Im trying to repaint my bike but the damn tank decals are a B**** to get off. I have some paint remover and tried applying it to a small area but it strips the paint all the way down. Works too good I guess and I just need the decals gone. HELP Please

goo-gone, heatgun, and lots of patience worked for me.
I took off the factory decals on my Nighthawk this way, and a few more that the **** previous owner had put on. It takes a while but they do come off easy with some goo-gone and a little heat gun action, use small tweazers to help lift corners but be carefull not to scratch the paint.
good luck.
