Okay guys bare with this noob. I noticed on the bike, near the ignition there is a black 'cap' that is there to protect whats underneath it. I was wondering are there 'caps' that are meant to protect the top of the shock adjustments on either side? If so, what are they called? Thanks!

There you go! To the left and right of ignition. Tops of shock towers...was wondering if there are any 'caps' available and what they're commonly referred to.

 

i believe you are talking about the triple bolt cover "cap" the only reason it is there is so you don't have a hole there.. i have seen adjuster ***** that make adjusting on the fly easy, why would you want to cover those up? if you were in a bad enough wreck that those get messed up that would be the last thing on my mind...
if you are worried about rust putting a "cap" over them would make it 10 times worse..

 

just a dumb question, why do you want to cover them up? like crazychris said, there are ***** that fit over them to make adjusting easier, or dress them up.

 

I just saw at the pivot point of the handle bars (center of both of ^^) my bike has a cap (came that way). I figured there was something like that that'd cover the adjustment *****. Can you link me to those dress-up items you're referring to as well as the adjustment **** thing you spoke about?

 

go to ebay type in f4i forks.. they have preload adjusters for $15 and the caps you are wanting for $40..
