Default raise the rear

Hey guys,
I have a honda f4 2000 model. I bought it off my friend and he's a really short guy. Im around 5"11. The bike's rear end is really low and I was wondering if anyone can give me instructions on how to raise it and how much to raise it.
Thanks for your help.

Shall I stir this stale pot a bit?

When I bought my bike it had an adjustable wishbone that was used to lower it. I quickly installed a stock wishbone to bring it back to stock.

Now I'm considering using that adjustable link to raise my rear maybe 5-10mm for better turn in and such. Does anyone have a rough idea about how much I'd have to adjust the link to get the overall rear to raise said 5-10mm?

I'm guessing no one knows exactly so I'll probably have to play around with it to see. Regardless, any insight is welcome.

or u could get my 600rr swingarm and that will raise the rear a little, and i can even throw in another linkage u could use to raise it even more.

i apologise as i have no advise on using the link, but ill cut u a deal on the arm

I've oft considered the 600rr swingarm mod but to be honest I've always been a little apprehensive about it. Plus my method is free lol. But thanks... now I won't be able to stop thinking about the 600rr swingarm mod haha.

Do you know how much the 600rr swingarm raises the F4i rear? And do you know what is involved in that mod? do you need a 600rr shock? I think I've read through a How-to on it before but if you know and could refresh my memory that'd be great.

u actually need a 1000rr shock and then the 600rr linkage, the 1000rr linkage raises it a little bit more, it bolts right up and then u just use a 3/8 bolt in the centerstand mount with the linkage, its not too hard, if you can take your wheels off you can do this.

Just put some washers on the bolt that bolts the shock linkage to the cross brace of the frame. TADA you have a higher rear end. Because of the linkage rates if you use a 1mm washer you get something like 3mm of lift. I think I have 5mm worth of spacers in there right now, plan on adding another one after my last track outing.

That would be much easier than replacing the link. I wonder if there are any drawbacks or advantages to either method as opposed to one another.

Well the advantage is you can take out and add washers to fine tune to the height you like, you can only go so far with the front end [if you just chasing a setup, not going for the actual height difference]. I've read that earlier model F4i's had shorter shock mount bolts so you'd need a newer style with the long mounting bolt [or is it technically a stud? whatever] but I don't know when they changed it over.
