Default Rain gear to protect from cold wind?

I am thinking about getting some two piece rain gear to wear on top of leathers to have some protection from cold wind. I wonder does anyone do that or I will look retarded riding in rain gear when it is dry? [8D]

The problem is that both my pants and jacket have mesh patches and when its cold I'm freezing no matter how many stuffI wear under. I think rain gearshould bewindproof and should help with cold wind.

I don't want to buy winter gear because I will not be able to ride in winter anyway, just a month or two in autumn until snow.

I have a thick Gore-Tex two -piece suit I wear over race suit and it works perfectly. Every time I pull over, under a bridge, and suit up, it stops raining! Murphey's Law.Pax,G.

I like to use my joe rocket jacket. The liner in it does a good job at keeping me warm. And for my legs I use snow pants.

Everyone I talk to thinks its retarded to ride in the cold regardless of what I'm wearing. But I'd rather be a warm retard than a cold one!! Haha.
