Default rain and airbox

Can an f4i ride in the rain without the problems of hydrolocking? I am worried about water getting into the airbox, through the filter, and into the engine. this bike has 2 air vents that are right in front on the bike and that curve downward, riding in the rain at any speed, could water be a problem?

I have ridden my F4i in the rain many times and never had any issues. Just don't submerge your bike in the creek. You might have problems if you did that.

hopefully that will never happen I understand what you are saying but on a separate note, do you think the filter is waterproof?

The filter isn't water proof but you won't hurt it riding in the rain. You'd have to be riding in a hurricane with the rain blowing directly into the ram air ducts.

The air pulled in through the ram air goes the opposite direction of a sink trap - it goes forward, then UP through the filter, and u-turns back down into the throttle body. So it's unlikely that you'd experience any type of hydrolocking, unless you drove through crazy rain for a long time or shoved a pressure washer into your ram air.

That said, don't pressure wash your bike (or at least do it VERY carefully).
