RE: Quote on a new F4i....thoughts?
Thanks for the reply. Has anyone ever been able to determine what the actual cost to the dealer is (the elusive invoice price)?
I know they get kickbacks and other ways to still make money on that price, but how far can I push?
And the reason that I'm even looking into this is because I have been looking for months, and can't find a reasonably priced and fairly well maintained bike for much less (maybe save $1500, but take all of the additional risk). I've seen used bikes ('04s with 1700 miles) listed for the sticker price of a brand new '05. I dunno if people around here are crazy, or what, but that's the way it seems to be.
We get pretty much year around ridable weather, so that may be working against me in the used market.

ORIGINAL: woogie
I've just been quoted $8450 out-the-door on a new '05 F4i. Tax around here is 6.25%, so backing out tax and fees probably puts the bike price around $7775 or $7800. The stealership claims that is cost.
Anyone know any different? Good deal or not?

Where are you from? I could ask my fellow Honda friends to check on one...This past June I bought a new 2004 F4i and paid $7700 for it. Some stuff I got for free....
