Questions about lowering the f4i
First question. A lowering dogbone for an F4 should fit on an F4i right?
On to the lowering. I read a HOW TO on lowering a zx10r. It said the bike must be on a rear stand. He also use a floor jack and jack up the shock pivot. Is that to prevent the subframe or tail from slamming on the rear tire after you removed the dogbone/links? I noticed there is a black canister under the shock pivot on the F4i, so I dont think I can use a floor jack under there. So what I must do is have someone support the tail up while removing the dogbone right? Sorry for the long questions, I just wanted to make sure I know what Im doing before I attempt it.

Lowered mine, absolutely no handling issues. Just drop the front end in the fork tubes too. Bike feels great. Turn in, everything is awesome.
Everyone that says it fubars the handling either hasn't done it or hasn't done it right.

RE: Questions about lowering the f4i
I don't drag and don't have much in the way of chicken strips. I don't ride track, but have no issues on the street. It does help that I have Vortex rear sets that are up and back an inch too.
I have a friend who has her F4i lowered three inches and has some pretty incredible track days. And she has no chicken strips.
Most people think it screws up the handling, but where I live with the incredible roads we have, I have no trouble keeping up with stock height bikes.
I won't argue it back and forth on it, but I have 5000 miles on mine with it lowered, and 4500 of that is easily hard twisty riding. So I am definately speaking from personal knowledge.
