Default A question for those who ride in the rain

Does a double bubble windscreen give me better protection from the rain?

Nobody likes riding in the rain, but it still beats driving in traffic. My last bike was an SV650S and only had a half fairing on it, but I get much wetter on the CBR in even light rain, especially my chest and feet. I'm just wondering if a double bubble would maybe give me a little better protection, or are they only for looks?

It helps, but not a lot. For me, it throws the air, and rain, a few inches higher than the stock screen does.

But, if you're not wearing rain gear, you're going to get soaked. No way around it.

On these bikes, it doesnt help as much as it would on lets say a Busa, because, atleast for me, I cant tuck under my screen very well. It does throw everything a little higher, but I think its more for looks than anything else.

Man - when you're in rain... nothing "helps" keep it out of your face or off of you.

You're in the rain! Haha... But in answer to your question... nope.
