That's probably stuff that's on the bike already (road grime) and just simply gets re-activated by the rain. Couple that with the engine heat (steam) & you'll get some funky smells. Either that or something's fubar
No. Burning smell is either road stuff or just steam from water that smells funny.
Only thing to worry about from the rain is a lot of water getting into the intake. But that isn't too common, you'd have to ride in the rain for a long time for it to happen.
