pulley noise/vibration (?)
I have an '01 F4i with 15k miles and at about 3,000 - 5,000 rpms I get a vibration/buzz noise out of what sounds to be a pulley. I've been told by another F4i owner its the cam tensioner pulley that needs replaced and that the f4i's are known for this problem.
Anyone else heard of these being a problem, or know anything else it could be?
Thanks!

It is possibly the most common problem with F4i's. However, it's not a pully. It is called the CCTL (Cam Chain Tensioner Lifter). There is alot of debate on whether it is actually damaging to the bike to continue letting it do that. The replacment part is about $50 and will take someone with decent know-how an hour or two to replace it.
The CCTL is behind the frame on the right side of the bike. you can see it by taking the tank off and looking down between the motor and the frame.
Alternatively, you can replace it was an APE manual cam chain tensioner. However, you will have to periodically re-adjust the tension if you go this route. I personally went with a new stock CCTL but the downside to that is the problem will most likely come back.
If you go ahead and search for "CCT" or "CCTL" you will find plenty enough articles to keep you occupied on these forums for a while. There are some pretty good tutorials of how to change it around here too.
